VMHS Today

The VMHS has about 1,000 students enrolled for the 2017-18 academic year. This population is spread across grades 7 through 12. The school currently employs 45 members of staff. Headed by Principal Mr Boakai Ericsson, the school is primarily funded by the Government of Liberia. The VMHS Alumni Association is working to improve working relations not only with the school but also with the local chapter of the alumni association in Liberia, and other organizations to accomplish its mission.

VMHSAA Objectives

The primary objectives of the Voinjama Multilateral High School Alumni Association (VMHSAA) are as follows:

  • To provide a forum for members of VMHSAA to interact and sustain a sense of belonging through mutually beneficial contacts.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To facilitate and encourage alumni to contribute towards improvement of infrastructure for all round development of the current students of VMHS.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To provide avenues for drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of the alumni for furthering the cause of VMHS with the aim to restoring it to a School of Excellence.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To create a forum for VMHS to exchange views and experiences and share these experiences with the present students of the school.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To organize programs for the entertainment and enjoyment of the members of the Association.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To collect, publish and distribute such information as may be useful to members of the Association.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To drive support and render assistance to students of VMHS through grants, scholarships and prizes and to provide assistance in academics, placement or in any other area that is felt as deemed appropriate by the Association and the school.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To recognize academic, professional and other achievements of the alumni and the students, and to institute suitable awards for them.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
  • To create awareness about important social issues and help develop a sense of national / social responsibility, through activities like sports, amongst alumni, students and the community, through various activities and means.
  • To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, and affection amongst the members of the Association.
